  • Welcome to Lyndon Institute

We learn not for school, but for life. Founded in 1867, Lyndon Institute is a comprehensive town academy dedicated to providing a unique educational experience for grades 9-12.  The ways our students approach new learning experiences helps to shape their character and leads to a lifetime of opportunities and good citizenship.

Through caring guidance and unwavering support, our students are inspired to face academic, creative, athletic, technological, and social growth with confidence, determination, and joy.

Located in the scenic and historic Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, our school is a key resource for our entire community. The 130-acre campus hosts 34 buildings, including the Alumni Gymnasium and 650-seat auditorium, and the John L. Norris, Jr. Center for the Arts. The 300-acre Edwin Binney Memorial Forest, located on Burke Mountain, provides numerous outdoor recreation and educational opportunities.
