This three-period class offers students the opportunity to explore careers in the human services field. Students learn skills needed for entry level positions in the human services field, including:

     First aid and CPR
     Infection control
     Workplace safety
     Human development
     Professional relationship building
     Confidentiality
     Professional communication skills
     Introduction to early childhood education
     Introduction to elder services
     Introduction to nursing

As a cumulative project, each student develops a Professional Portfolio that includes a resume', cover letter, letters of recommendation, awards, samples of work, career pathways research, personal health information, and documentation of career exploration and community service hours.
