As scholarship information becomes available, it will be posted at this site. Early in the year, most scholarships will be from large national groups. As the year progresses, more scholarship applications will become available from Vermont and local organizations. 2009 Gates Millennium Scholars Program:  Applicants must be involved with school or community leadership, and have financial need.  The application deadline is January 12, 2009.  For more information or to obtain an application booklet, go to the program's website. 

Foundation for Individual Rights In Education (FIRE):  announces their first annual "Freedom in Academia" high school student essay contest.  The deadline for this scholarship is November 20, 2008 and is valued at $2,500 and $5,000. go to www.thefire.org/contests for more information,
