SPRING SPORTS 2007-08

BASEBALL:  Beat Division I opponent North Country Union on Saturday (4/26) 4-3.  Buddy Lamothe was the winning pitcher with relief help from Patrick Hilton.  The win raises the LI record to 4-0 on the season.

SOFTBALL:  Their state record win streak now stands at 59 in a row!!!  The Lady Vikings beat Division I North Country 13-0 on Saturday (4/26) to raise their season record to 4-0.  A nine run first inning took away any suspense as Lyndon strung together six hits and five walks for their nine runs.  Elizabeth Hamel allowed only five hits and struck out seven to gain the win.

TRACK AND FIELD:  Both teams opened the season with impressive showings at Middlebury on April 18.  They followed that with impressive wins at Windsor in an eight team meet on Wednesday (4/23).  The girls team finished with 98 points, easily outdistancing second place Windsor which scored 67.  Thetford, South Royalton, Hartford, Woodstock, Newport, NH, and Mid Vermont Christian followed.  In the boy's meet LI scored 132 points, 20 more than second place Windsor.
