VSAC Financial Aid Forms Workshop

10/24/2019 at 6:00PM - 7:30PM EST
Location: MAC (Library top floor) - 168 Institute Cir, Lyndon, Vermont, 05850

Join us for a FREE Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC) financial aid forms workshop at LI on Thursday, October 24 at 6 p.m. in the MAC. At this informal workshop, we will assist you as you file your FAFSA and Vermont state grant application.

Before the financial aid forms workshop:
The student and ONE parent/guardian (if the student is a dependent) will need to create a Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID (username and password). You’ll need this to log into the FAFSA website—and any other FSA borrower websites.

To create your FSA ID, go to fsaid.ed.gov.

The student (NOT THE PARENT) will also need to create a myVSAC account in order to file a VT grant. To create an account go to: https://secureacctaccess.vsac.org/myvsac/

What you’ll need for 2020-2021 FAFSA/VT Grant Filing:
-Social Security number
-2018 federal tax return, including schedules and K-1 form(s). You may be able to transfer your federal tax information into your FAFSA using the IRS data retrieval tool
-2018 W-2’s or year-end pay stub
-Information on any types of income from 2018, even if it isn’t reported on a tax return or you didn’t file taxes
-Current checking and savings bank statements
-Home value and debt (if applicable)
-Farm value and debt (if applicable)
-Business value and debt (if applicable)
-Investment value (if applicable-such as stocks/bonds not in a qualified retirement plan, or investment property)
-Alien Registration number (if not a US Citizen)
-List of colleges that the student is attending
