Lyndon Institute Announces Mike Lowe as Assistant Head for Advancement

Lyndon Institute (LI) is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Lowe to the position of Assistant Head for Advancement. Lowe has been employed at LI for the past two years and started his new role on February 17, 2020.
LI Head of School Twila Perry said, “I am so pleased that Mike will be able to apply his experience and knowledge at the administrative level. His background will be vital in helping support the Advancement team’s development.”
Lowe previously led LI's Project Bike Tech program in the Career and Technical Education department and is LI's Mountain Bike Coach. In addition, he has taught Personal Finance classes at LI and has helped guide the school’s Advisory program. Mike previously served as the Dean of Community Life at Gould Academy. As a former member of the military, he has strategic and operational experience negotiating government-to-government agreements, leading deployed troops overseas, overseeing multi-million dollar budgets, and managing people in very demanding situations. While serving multiple combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan as an intelligence officer, Mike worked closely with other government agencies to solve complex problems.
Lowe has a bachelor's degree in economics from the U.S. Naval Academy and a master's degree in National Security Strategy and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. He is excited to work with the Advancement team to ensure LI has the resources necessary to prosper over the next decade. LI couldn't be more excited about what his talents and experiences will bring to the team.

Lowe is an avid cyclist who also enjoys Nordic skiing and hiking. He and his wife Rebecca, who also teaches at Lyndon Institute, have two dogs, two cats, and live in Lyndon, VT.
