LI Students Take Top Three Prizes in Rotary Speech Contest

Three Lyndon Institute students took top prizes at the first round of the regional competition for the 2019 Rotary Speech Contest.  Abigail Ham placed first, Matthew Thomas placed second, and Travis Talbot placed third.  The contest consists of four rounds of regional competitions and the finalists going on to the final district level competition with the potential of winning $1000. This year’s topic was: “How can ‘Service Above Self’ be an Inspiration to Others?” Contestants prepare and deliver a five-minute speech that relates the relevance of this topic to teamwork and to everyday relationships.
