LI Booster Club Seeking Volunteers

The Lyndon Institute Booster Club is actively seeking new board members. Board members work on a volunteer basis; you can volunteer as much or as little time that works for you. The board meets once a month during the school year.

What does the Booster Club do you ask? We run the concession stand at football and basketball games. The money generated is used to support our student-athletes.

To follow is a list of items the Booster Club has supported over the last several years:

Senior Night recognition awards
Replacement of the banners in Alumni Gym
Championship jackets
New dugouts
New batting cage nets
Basketball shoot away
Timing apparatus for alpine skiing
Resurfacing the softball field
Benches for the field hockey & soccer fields

This is just a short list of recent items. There is so much more!

National Art Honor Society Induction

ARTS

Lyndon Institute is one of the few high schools in Vermont that offers a complete range of Fine and Performing Arts courses. These include full course loads in each discipline: fine and graphic arts, theater, instrumental and vocal music, and dance. Students can choose from a range of classes in each of the disciplines ranging from introduction to art, photography, AP level art classes, and painting; acting, introduction and techniques in dance, jazz and lyrical ballet, dance history and improvisation/composition to dance company, plus concert and jazz band to chorus and select chorus.

While academics are our primary concern, Lyndon Institute recognizes that athletics provide additional opportunities and challenges for personal growth and development. Through competition, students learn the value of discipline and respect for rules.

We welcome an average of 450 students from 20 countries, several U.S. states, and over 24 area towns and villages. We are grateful for the amazing diversity this combination of students creates and our community is grateful too. Many of our international students are befriended by area families and this offers a unique opportunity for our international students to experience life in America.
