Lyndon Institute Hires New Varsity Girls Soccer Coach

July 16th, 2019

Lyndon Institute has announced that Jeremy White will be the new Varsity Girls Soccer coach starting this upcoming school year. White currently works as the school’s Flexible Pathways and Work-Based Learning Coordinator.

“I look forward to expanding my role at Lyndon Institute to include varsity soccer,” said White. “Coaching alongside Jennifer Moore, we hope to build upon the successes of our women’s athletics and extend the soccer program to include our broader community and resources.”

White will bring with him several years of experience in running a soccer program. Lyndon Institute Director of Athletics and Activities Eric Berry said, “I am pleased to announce that Jeremy White has been named as our Varsity Girls Soccer coach. Jeremy led a very strong program at Danville, from 2008 to 2014, and his teams battled higher divisional opponents during the regular season, while also fiercely battling higher-ranked opponents in the playoffs year in and year out. He has helped players attain multiple all-state selections as well as helped many of them achieve their dream of playing in college. Jeremy is looking forward to working with our athletes here at LI as well as those that are in the local youth programs.”

Assistant coach Jennifer Moore will join White. “I would like to thank Eric Berry and the Lyndon Institute athletics staff for giving me this opportunity,” said Moore. “Coach White once told me that everything you need to know about life you can learn on a soccer field, and I still believe that it is true. I look forward to giving back to the Lyndon community through athletics.”

White will be replacing Frank Leafe who stepped down at the end of the last season after serving as the head coach of LI’s Varsity Girls Soccer program for the past eight years.
