Because we believe in the values of respect, responsibility, empathy, integrity, and courage, we will participate in the R Word campaign. This national campaign asks people to pledge to stop saying the R Word in order to create a more inclusive environment. Not only will the community take the pledge, teacher, Bridget Atkins will share a personal story, Advisory groups will create posters and students will lead Chat and Chew sessions to bring awareness to the campaign.
This event is an opportunity for community members, parents and trustees to come together to learn more about current shifts in education, including Flexible Pathways & Act 77. The Communicating School Redesign team will host the evening, providing participants with a variety of activities intended to inform and cultivate dialog. Coffee and cookies will be provided as well.
