With our location centered within the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, our students have a myriad of opportunities to enjoy the beautiful environment we live in.
Lyndon Institute requires physical education credits that exceed the State of Vermont requirement—an example of our high standards. LI allows students to participate in a variety of health and wellness activities that are, in part, based upon their own choosing—an example of our student-driven, research-based program. And LI has an athletic, coach, and advisory support system that works with students individually.
We have expanded the opportunities for every child to access an even greater variety of offerings in both the scope and sequence of these wellness activities, as well as increased activity time and flexible timing of the activity…which also helps promote flexibility, independence, and an appreciation of our beautiful landscape by allowing students to better access our natural and local business resources than what can often be accomplished in a gymnasium or on an athletic field.
Our students run, walk, bike, hike, kayak, fly fish, hunt and more. Our goal at LI is to prepare our students for a constantly-changing world and be able to adapt to it both intellectually and physically.
