This scholarship is to help the next generation of entrepreneurs. You must be a US Citizen to apply. You will need to write an essay on the topic "Why America is the Best Place to Start a Business." The Town of Lyndon has several positions open for the summer and wanted to encourage LI students to apply, especially if you have experience in this line of work or have a strong interest in one of them. You must be 16 years or older. There will be one position mowing at the Cemetery for 16-24 hours/week. There will be 3 positions for the Village Public Works Department, 40 hours/week. Work would involve mowing and laborer (building sidewalks, etc.). One of the 3 positions could become a full time position with benefits in the fall. Application and more information regarding these positions may be obtained from the Municipal Office. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled.
Registration is open. Rosie's Girls STEM Leadership Camps: June 19-23 or July 10-14 - These are overnight camps for girls entering grades 9-10 held at the Randolph Center Campus. Deadline: April 26, 2017. Coder Campfor girls: July 17-21 - This is a day camp for girls ages 13-16 and gives them an opportunity to translate their creativity into a computer program using SCRATCH where they can learn about software development and experience making a program of their own creation and is held at the Williston Campus, & AeroCamp: July 24-28 - This is a day camp for boys & girls between the ages of 12-18 who are given the opportunity to explore the world of aviation and aerospace and is held at the Williston Campus.
