What have you done since graduating from LI?  
I worked as a nightclub manager in Burlington before getting married and staying home to raise my children. When they started school, I began a 20-year career in special education as a teacher’s assistant. I later returned to college, earning a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Western Carolina University, and went on to spend 10 years as a Certified Christian Life Coach. I’m now retired, or as we like to say “rewired!” 

Since then, I’ve started several YouTube Channels, including Miss Pam Reads, a read-aloud channel for children; Mrs. Pam Reads, created for adults; and, most recently, a Christian content channel called Ms. Pam Reads. I’m also an indie author with eleven books available on Amazon. My newest book, 1830: A Beautiful Journey, my first work of fiction, was released August 1 in paperback and on Kindle. 

Tell us about your family.
My husband, Jim Horton Jr., and I have been married for 38 years. We have two boys and four grandchildren—all teenagers now!

How many people in your family graduated from LI? 
My mom, Marjorie Greenwood Legge ’55; my dad, Norman Legge ’56; and my brother, Bill Legge ’85, are all LI graduates.

What is your favorite or strangest LI story?  
The day Brian Munger stood up in World Problems on a "point of order" and let out the loudest, longest belch I have ever heard, while Mr. Twombly shook his head and put a checkmark in his book.

Who was your favorite teacher or staff member at LI?  
Mr. Flynn, by far. I loved that US History class. 

Were you a “townie” or a “dormie”?  
Townie, but I lived close to the dorm, so I hung out with dormies.

Which class helped you the most with your future endeavors?  
Psychology with Mr. Cahill. It definitely stretched my thinking. I still have my copy of "The Search For Bridey Murphy." 

Which class helped you the least with your future endeavors?  
Shorthand— I never used it!

What was your favorite lunch from the LI cafeteria? 
Oh, my goodness, the salmon pea wiggle—YUM!   

What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Keep Moving Positively Forward

Where was your favorite place to hang out after school?  
The boy’s dorm 

What do you miss the most about your time at LI?  
Going out with my cheerleading friends to decorate the route our team bus would take for away games. 

What was the #1 song you loved to hear your senior year?  
“We will Rock you” / “We are the champions” - Queen

What is your favorite quote?
“Life is not fair.” My mom blew my mind with that statement when I was in my 30s.

Which employee at LI was nicknamed “Cuddles”?  
Mr. Heath (VP) 

What type of vehicle did you drive to school? 
I didn’t, I walked to school because I lived just down the hill.

Who did you go to your senior prom with?
