Description: A week of CTE Program classes for rising 7th and 8th-grade students. The camp will operate from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm, M-F. Friday will be a showcase day to invite parents to see what students worked on during the week.
Description: Guest Artist, Kate Gupton, with assistance from the LI theater and/or dance teacher, will be using poetry to inspire and work with dance (collaboration between students interested in writing original poetry and dance).
Description: Guest Artist, Kate Gupton, with assistance from LI dance teacher and/or theater teacher, will teach students through collaboration about video editing, dance film making and watching dance on film.
Description: Learn how to tie some useful NEK flies and become a better fly fisher. Tie flies in the morning, casting lessons, and then fishing after lunch. Preferred students must have their own fly rod, but we can assist. Waders and felt sole wading boots are preferable but not mandatory. Description: Get ready for a week of movement, fun, and teamwork! Mini Movers Sports Camp introduces preschoolers and early elementary students to the fundamentals of tee ball, basketball, and soccer through active play and age-appropriate drills. Campers will practice key skills like batting, throwing, catching, dribbling, shooting, passing, and kicking—all in a supportive, high-energy environment. Each day includes warm-ups, skill stations, and mini games designed to build coordination, confidence, and a love for being active. Perfect for busy bodies who love to play and learn!
The camp will be three days from 8-11 AM. Campers will be required to wear a pair of sneakers, supply a tee ball glove, and bring a snack/water bottle.
Description: Join our exciting Modern Band Summer Camp designed for middle schoolers ready to take their musical skills to the next level! This week-long camp is perfect for students with at least a beginner-level understanding of their instrument. Students will collaborate with peers to form bands, learn popular songs, explore songwriting, and perform in a final showcase. Led by experienced instructors, this fun and supportive environment encourages creativity, teamwork, and confidence on and off the stage. Get ready to rock your summer! 🎸🥁🎤
Description:LI's Summer Performing Arts Camp is a week-long sampling of theater, music and dance under the direction of the Performing Arts Faculty - Crenshaw Lindholm, Susanne Norwood and Rebecca McGregor. Student participants will explore: team games, improvisation, storytelling, a variety of performing arts techniques specific to each of the 3 disciplines of focus, singing, rhythms, instrumentation, and movement phrases/short choreographies. Through this learning students develop performing arts foundations and play, as well as creation and refinement. Students will have the opportunity to showcase learning to family and friends at the end of the week.
Camp begins at 8am in the Auditorium and will end at 2pm in the Town House each day. Participants will meet in the Auditorium for music from 8-9:45am then move to the theater from 10-11:45am. At 11:45am, students will have time for lunch on upper campus then come down to the Town House for a creatively designed "recess" until 12:15pm. Finally, from 12:15-2pm, students will experience a dance class and choreography session in the Town House.
Information about the end of the week showcase will come out to registrants and families at the beginning of camp week.
Description: Students explore how interactive puzzle scenarios are designed and facilitated, then create and host original challenges for others—combining storytelling, logic, and teamwork.
Description: Guest Artist, Kate Gupton, with assistance from the LI theater and/or dance teacher, will develop art and choreography in unusual places around campus to inspire creativity other than a studio setting.
Description: This week-long camp is all about the unique world of Manufacturing. Geared specifically for middle school aged students to explore the role of Manufacturing in the NEK. Students will invent, design and build a project. They will also visit / tour a few of the regional Manufacturing companies in the area. Students will be exposed to a variety of shop equipment or machinery and be shown how to bring their idea to life.
Description:Want to be the babysitter everyone trusts—and the kids actually love?
Super Sitters Camp is a fun, hands-on summer camp where you’ll learn how to care for kids, keep them safe, and make babysitting enjoyable for everyone. You’ll take the American Red Cross Babysitting Basics course, learn real-life safety skills, and create your own Babysitter Fun Kit filled with games, crafts, and activities you can actually use when watching kids.
You’ll build confidence, leadership skills, and responsibility—while still having fun with friends, projects, and creative challenges. By the end of the week, you won’t just feel ready to babysit… you’ll feel like a Super Sitter.
Description: Guest Artist, Kate Gupton, with assistance from the LI dance teacher, will be teaching anatomy-based somatics work and movement practices. No movement experience necessary. This week is open to everyone with a body.
Description: Students will learn basic shop safety, welding and metals safety, and will practice making welds using GMAW. They will then create a project to take home (either a welded nameplate or a scrap metal creature)!
Description: Athletes in the Summer Vikings Basketball Camp will learn basic basketball fundamentals. They will meet the LI basketball coach and other kids who are interested in the game of basketball.
Description: Athletes in the Summer Vikings Football Camp will learn basic football fundamentals. They will meet some LI football coaches and members of the LI football program. They will also meet other kids who are interested in the game of football.
