Student Dance Showcase

Students in the LI dance program get the opportunity to develop their own technical, artistic, and creative skills in dance by opting to participate in the annual Student Dance Showcase. Students who opt to participate have a timeline to follow in which Mrs. McGregor is available to assist and guide them along the pathway to success in creating their own choreographic study. Students who successfully complete their choreographies by deadlines can perform their work for friends and families on the LI stage in an informal performance experience. This year’s Student Dance Showcase will occur on the LI stage at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, March 28th. The event is free and open to the LI community and by special invitation to others by the dance participants.

ARTS

Lyndon Institute is one of the few high schools in Vermont that offers a complete range of Fine and Performing Arts courses. These include full course loads in each discipline: fine and graphic arts, theater, instrumental and vocal music, and dance. Students can choose from a range of classes in each of the disciplines ranging from introduction to art, photography, AP level art classes, and painting; acting, introduction and techniques in dance, jazz and lyrical ballet, dance history and improvisation/composition to dance company, plus concert and jazz band to chorus and select chorus.
