Rick Hilton Returns to Lyndon Institute as Faith Speaker

April 23rd, 2019

Former Lyndon Institute Headmaster, Rick Hilton has been invited back to campus to serve as the faith speaker for the Class of 2019 Commencement.  After serving as Headmaster at the school for 15 years, Hilton retired to Wolfborough, NH with his wife Linda.  He has since studied to become a deacon in the Catholic Church and was ordained in 2017.

“I am looking forward to returning to LI for Commencement,” said Hilton.  “I’ve stayed in touch with many friends and former colleagues since retirement, and so many good things have been happening for the students.  As always, LI is all about the students, and at Commencement we recognize their achievements as well as the support that they have received from their teachers, their families, and their community. It is a great day, and I am happy to be a small part of it.”

Hilton will deliver the benediction at the Baccalaureate service and the invocation at Commencement. Commencement at Lyndon Institute is scheduled for June 2nd with Baccalaureate at 10 a.m. in the Alumni Auditorium followed by Commencement at Robert K. Lewis field at 11 a.m.

“We are always pleased to welcome back friends and alumni to our Commencement ceremonies.  And when one of those friends serves in the role of faith speaker and happens to be LI's former headmaster of 15 years, that return visit to our community is all the more special.  We are thrilled that Rick will be joining us for this very special event,” said LI Head of School, Twila Perry.
