Biography

Angela Middleton grew up in the Northeast Kingdom (NEK) of Vermont. Angela attended Lyndon Town Schools, including Lyndon Institute (LI), until her graduation in 1991.  While a student at LI, Angela played multiple team sports, including field hockey, basketball, track and field, and softball.  Additionally, Angela was elected to Student Government where she worked to support her classmates, the student body and faculty.

Angela’s early years in NEK have guided her professional choices.  As the only student of color in the schools she attended, it has been her mission to seek out diverse individuals to join organizations, which will enrich the experiences of others while creating a supportive environment for underrepresented voices.  A graduate of Bentley University, Angela spent more than a decade in Human Resources at Bentley University where she was responsible for immigration, faculty and staff recruitment with a focus on diversity hiring. She also served as the HR Business Partner to Faculty and Academic Affairs before moving on to Color Magazine as Diversity Consultant to focus on diversity within a corporate environment.

Today, Angela is lead diversity sourcer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. She also serves on the executive committee for the Boston Belmont METCO Parent Committee and is an active member of the Greater Mattapan Neighborhood Committee.

Angela lives in Boston with her husband and two sons.
