Dr. Gregory J. McCormick grew up on Burke Mountain, attending Wildridge Academy for junior high school. After graduating from LI he attended Harvard College, where he was a member of the ski team and earned a degree in chemistry. He stayed on at Harvard after graduation as the Head Teaching Fellow for the organic chemistry laboratory.  He returned to the Northeast Kingdom in 1996 as the chemistry and physics teacher at Burke Mountain Academy. He went on to attend the University of Vermont College of Medicine, followed by residency and fellowship training at the University of Rochester Eye Institute. Dr. McCormick currently practices ophthalmology at Ophthalmic Consultants of Vermont in South Burlington. He is a specialist in corneal and refractive surgery, including cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and LASIK surgery. Dr. McCormick fondly remembers the inspiration he received on the campus of Lyndon Institute and looks forward to continuing to be a part of the LI community. He and his wife, Monica, live in Hinesburg, Vermont and are the proud parents of three young daughters.
